The RAYCHEM XPI polymer insulated (PI) series trace heating cables are designed for freeze protection and process temperature maintenance in lengthy transfer lines, vessels, and instrumentation lines. XPI-4J Industrial Heating Cables are engineered to operate in hazardous and safe environments, offering continuous exposure up to 260⁰C and intermittent exposure up to 300⁰C.

The XPI series represents a polymer insulated (PI) heating cable specifically crafted for hazardous area use. Tailored for freeze protection and temperature maintenance across pipes, tanks, and various equipment, the XPI series presents a cost-effective solution for diverse heat-tracing applications, particularly suitable for extended pipe lengths beyond the capabilities of parallel heating cables.

Featuring a distinctive sandwich construction of high-temperature fluoropolymer and PTFE for inner insulation, complemented by an outer insulation made of PTFE, the XPI cable ensures ease of termination, remarkable flexibility, and utmost safety and reliability. It excels in chemical resistance and mechanical strength, especially at elevated temperatures, reaching operational temperatures of up to 260°C continuously and 300°C intermittently. Additionally, the XPI cables are user-friendly, equipped with printed meter-marks, and are available in a wide range of resistances from 0.8 Ω/km to 8000 Ω/km.
