The RAYCHEM BTV self-regulating heating cable is tailored for freeze protection and maintaining process temperatures of pipes and vessels without the need for steam cleaning. Withstanding temperatures up to 150°F/65°C and intermittent exposure to 185°F/85°C, it’s approved for hazardous areas. RAYCHEM BTV heating cable offers a polyolefin outer jacket (-CR) suitable for mild inorganic solutions, while the fluoropolymer outer jacket (-CT) provides exceptional resistance against aggressive organics and corrosives.
Designed for freeze protection and process temperature maintenance, the BTV family of self-regulating heating cables ensures reliability and efficiency. Operating within temperatures up to 150°F (65°C) and capable of withstanding intermittent exposure to 185°F (85°C), these cables are suitable for both non-hazardous and hazardous locations, including areas with corrosive substances. They comply with the U.S. National Electrical Code and the Canadian Electrical Code standards.
